Bye Bye 2003

Just wanted to wish everyone a great new year's eve - whether you are doing the family thing at southbank, hitting the turps, hitting the dance floor, or hitting the couch - just don't hit anything that says "ow". Personally I will be behaving according to lessons learned on previous years and having a Nice Quiet Evening at home with a few choice humans and a few wee drams. Have a good one!

Storm season

We've been slack round here lately, and what could be slacker than blogging about the weather? Having said that though, Brisbane certainly has a lot of it. It's storm season now, where you wake up in the morning and swim dreamlike through a fug of humidity, and desperately hope that those black clouds gathering above the city buildings will turn into a crashing downpour so that you need to get the winter 'jamies out all over again. It's the only time of year Brisbane has really dramatic weather, unless you count the dry August winds. Enjoy it now, before the long hot months of January and February come along, when we'll start doing rain dances and dreaming of snow.
